I make arbitrary spots on paper, not unlike calligraphy, following the brush, until a human form emerges. I don’t wait for the body to be complete. I stop as soon as an expression, an attitude, or an emotion appears. If it frowns, the frowner will appear in the viewer’s mind. I provide deportment and emotion; the viewer provides the face and physique.
